SAT vocabulary for ALL English students
You will be given a quiz over vocabulary terms every Thursday or Friday depending on when you have class. How it will work is that there are LISTS and in each LIST, there are ten GROUPS. You will be given a quiz over the groups within the lists which will be cummulative. Meaning that you WILL have words from previous quizzes on your weekly quizzes.
For example, the first week, you will have a quiz on List 1, Group 1. The next week, you will have a quiz that will cover BOTH List 1, Group 1 and List 1, Group 2. The following week will have List 1, Group 3 and also List 1, Group 1 and Group 2. We will do this up to 40 words and then you will ALWAYS see the current week's words, but the other 30 words will rotate from the ones you already have seen.
The quizzes will be online from my website and will be pretty basic word/definition. We may add sentence completion once we get going, but this will be how we start.
Check out the lists and bookmark this page. You might want to cut and paste the lists and/or make a PowerPoint or some other type of flashcard system to help you study!
(All the words we cover will also be found on the semester final!)
